Great for a relaxing walk. The scenery is amazing, the only complaint I have is that we where charged £4.50 to park the car and there was no shuttle bus to the Dam. It was low season and I think the charge should be relaxed at times like this.

WOW!! The views are spectacular, you can almost feel yourself become one with nature, in the peace and quiet of this place. Absolutely drop dead gorgeous!!! The location takes you right into the heart of the Mournes and beyond if you want. We walked to the 2nd dam called Ben Crom Reservoir. The views from the top of this are amazing. Would also be great for bikes with young children to the end of the silent valley.
