Captain Jack's was a great venue for little kids with a good play area and also a reasonably priced cafe. It closed some time ago and has now opened again with a new name and presumably new management.

We have visited Captain Jacks with my son and daughter a few times, as previous comments have said the playframe is small but this has an advantage as it is easier to keep an eye on your kids the whole time and you can nealrly see the whole play area from anywhere in the cafe. My two year old and I have only been to Captain Jacks once and will not be returning. Firstly the whole area in my opinion is badly laid out. The play area is too small and does not have enough activities etc. for the children. My son was just over 2 1/2 when we visited and even at that age... More

Captain Jack's was a breath of fresh air as I sat with my mum and we had our lattes and muffins while the girls enjoyed themselves singing and dancing with during a supervised mums and tots activity. We'll... More

this place is only suitable for babies! or very tiny toddlers! why open a play place which is very nicely decorated and so much space is taken up with other things and make the actual play area so small?! saw loads of people ask for a refund wish I had myself....also cafe not great, coffee unpleasant and staff quite rude!

Expensive rubbish, I actually asked the girl at the cafe where was the play area for my 2 children who are 5 and 6 lol she looked at me as though I was daft but it's only suitable from around 18 months to 3 year old. I then ordered a tea and handed it back as it tasted like a... More
