These gardens must be amongst the best anywhere. We were lucky to get a full day of sunshine so saw the gardens at their best. Immaculately kept and maintained, with wonderful planting combinations, it's a place to lift the soul. The cafe is efficient with friendly service, and all the staff are welcoming and knowledgable. Definitely worth a visit

It is worth making the journey here to see the gardens alone - they truly are spectacular - so an impressive house to explore as well is an added bonus. All staff and volunteers encountered were helpful and the tearoom served up some good food. Allow around three hours for a leisurely visit.

Interesting self guided tour of house and exquisite gardens. Beautifully maintained interior with great collection of China and silver wear. Decent sized cafe and outside seating and gift shop.

Two friends and myself visited the House and Gardens on a gloriously sunny Friday looking for something a little different to do. I thought the entry fee seemed a little steep before we got there but in hindsight it was definitely worth it. The gardens were beautifully maintained, and the various rooms of the house were just so interesting to... More

Beautiful house/gardens but the food was disgusting, the pie was microwaved when they forgot to bring it out. Had to enquire where my food was! It was plain disgusting. Overpriced and disgusting food.

Went on Saturday as the weather was great and wasn't disappointed, the place and grounds are amazing . Colour everywhere from the stunning plants, trees and ponds. Going back soon as we didn't get around half of it as its so beautiful you just forget about time looking at the beauty of everything. A must see , loved it👍🏻.

Being free today, travelled to Mount Stewart on a beautiful day. Car park 1 full but car park 2 empty. Time 11am approx. Paid admission and decided to join National Trust, being meaning to for a while. Walked around the grounds, had lovely coffee undisturbed and visited the big House and all its splendour. Each room had an unobtrusive guide... More
