The Causeway Coastal Route is a designated scenic tourist drive around the coast of Northern Ireland between the cities of Belfast and Londonderry. The route follows the coast and takes you to several major tourist attractions along the way including The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, The Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery and the Glens of Antrim. There are also nine scenic loop roads that run off the main Coastal Route. These are: Islandmagee, Slemish Mountain, Glenariff, Glendun, Torr Road, Glenshesk, Bann Valley, Binevenagh Mountain and the Roe Vally. One of these (Torr Scenic Road)is quite narrow so do be careful if your not used to our small roads, one tip is to pull in your wing mirrors on the Torr Road.

Don't look for a reason not to go, just get in the car and drive. We spent the entire day driving through some of the most gorgeous landscape I've ever seen. I don't have the vocabulary that will do it justice. You will not be sorry you traveled this amazing route.

My daughters and I rented a car in Belfast and drove the Causeway Coastal Route though to Downhill Beach. It was incredible. The day was clear, and there are place from which you can see all the way across to Scotland. We did manage a couple of detours along the way to take in a few of the Game of... More

Great road to drive with stunning views, if you, can detour out to Ballintoy Harbour, just a short drive off the Coastal Route. Stunning road althouh only suitable for cars not caravans or larger vans. Beautiful area really worth a visit

The Causeway Coastal route covers most of North Antrim and some of the views are breathtaking. You can see Scotland from some places.

Did the coast road from Belfast to the giant causeway and it was fantastic. The views are breathtaking and the road is great. Would be a blast in a decent sports car, shame I left it at home and had a 1.2 corsa! Loads of little villages to stop at and plenty of photo opportunities.

Spent a couple of days at end of Easter week and as always the scenery and beaches are breath taking. Loads of people about but plenty of room for us all and not too difficult to get away from the crowds

Worth getting up early and setting off for spectacular scenery. However from.this holiday experience there is very little traffic. The views of the coast and mountains are fantastic and I will come.back again but on a motorcycle trip next time
