Lots of variety of stalls here. Lots of crafty ones if that's your thing. Open on Thursdays and Saturday I believe.

The new Carmarthen market is a new build but unfortunately it's lost the old feel and smell that I experienced in the old market. You will find all the normal market stalls expected but limited choice.

This used to be a very busy market. Then rebuilt to make it smaller. The variety of products for sale is now rather limited, the same items are offered with no real seasonal change. There are a few stalls offering fresh produce but not enough for choice. Once visited two or three times it becomes boring. It's meant to be... More

Forget the generic chain stores - you could be in any town in any part of the world.... Try the market, it has a couple of café's, lots of gift shops, wool & craft shops, a carpet shop & all in a small space with friendly shop keepers. You can spend an hour or more here if you take in... More

We visited this market after being told about it by a local shopkeeper my mother was in search of a welsh lady doll. We were delighted to find a "Welsh Shop' there that sold dolls and lots of lovely gifts to take home. We also bought Welsh lamb from the butcher as well as treats for the dog from the... More

Visited while I was holiday, I was rather disappointed with the amount of shops. There is a lovely little gift shop on the outside and also a good little pet shop but inside there wasn't much. It's worth a visit to look around and it situated around high street shops and other stores. There were a few empty stalls, it's... More

We really enjoyed our Wednesday morning in Carmarthen with street stalls in addition to those in the covered market. A friendly buzz from the helpful stall holders. We found a fantastic plant stall in the inside market. A refreshing change as this sort of market no longer seems to exist in the south of England.

An undercover market that has everything on offer from fresh bread to knitting yarn, from handbags to small gifts, fresh meat to fresh fruit and flowers, a café and nice clean toilets, artwork and jewellery. It houses "Siop y Pentan" a shop that sells welsh gifts, artwork, greeting cards and books - a great place to find the perfect gift.
