Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

great to get up close and personal with such ancient artefacts. Not in the league of Pompeii, of course but impressive nevertheless for such an out of the way location. AND no crowds at all so we had a one-on-one commentary. (No English spoken, a plus for me to practise Italian!) Nice to sit outside in the shade for your own picnic too.

We visited the cave in autumn 2015. The cave itself is quite small and there is not that much to see inside- apart the famous rock engraving of an ox at the cave´s entrance, but it is set in a beautiful valley which makes the trip wholly worth the effort. Recommeded especially for those who seek off the beaten track things to see !

I wasn't prepared for just how amazing this place was. It is uniquely spiritual and overwhelmingly aesthetic.

A unique site of great historical importance, a testimony a few thousand years long. Beautiful engraving of a wonderful Urus, very interesting burials.

The site is very interesting but soon managed. was admitted a group of visitors too high for the place that is quite cramped, moreover with dogs panting for heat and whining children.

We went to the Romito cave after appreciating the beauty of the Bos Primigenius cast at the Reggio Calabria museum. The quality of the representation engraved on a large rock visible at close range in the grit of Romito, is worth the trip when you consider that works so ancient and well preserved, today in Europe are no longer available to the public for conservation reasons. Too bad the unorthodox behavior at the ticket office where they rightly asked me €12 for two admissions, but they issued me only one ticket as a receipt. I insisted on two tickets, pointing out that I had paid for two. Beaten the lady only at the end took off two. I was very sorry because in no other Calabrian site (and we visited wonderful Collections around Calabria that we did in 15 days) I found so little honesty. As a teacher of Art History I was able to appreciate a great teamwork between the local administrations and the University of Florence. I hope they will remove staff as soon as possible who are not worthy of running such a prestigious place in the history of the Paleolithic in Europe. Despite this unedifying episode: long live Calabria and long live Europe

Interesting visit to this small but important archaeological site from the Paleolithic era, consisting of a small museum where the air conditioning needs to be improved and the actual cave area, beautiful but safety in general needs to be improved. A site that could certainly be enhanced more.

Vorrei sapere se domani ho la possibilità di visitare la grotta e se posso portare il cane.

Chiama il comune di Papasidero per accertarti che sia aperta. Per quanto riguarda il cane non credo ci siano problemi.
