Consistently ranked as the #1 golf course in Hawaii, playing The Plantation Course is sure to be on every golfer's bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. Its lengthy 7,411 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but it's wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You'll feel like one of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Champions each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners.

My son wanted to play this course while on vacation and I justified the most I'd ever paid for a greens fee as a congratulations for his D1commitment. I called ahead to check on rates and told Zachary in the pro shop we were an hour away. He said they were "wide open," told me the course was recently punched,... More

Wow! This course exceeding all expectations of service and playability. Everyone from the starter to the bag handlers were super friendly and helpful. Complimentary coffee to start and a personalized bag tag at the end were nice touches. The views and the course are a must play/see, rare to sea whales while hitting into a par 3!

Played 5 courses on my trip and this was the hardest one. If you're looking at this course, you already know it's embedded in the PGA tour. In a nutshell, high cost, high quality course conditions, high wind (even in the putting), fast greens (mind the grain direction), lots of hype and thus lots of golfers (ie long round and... More

I am not a golfer, but was a rider with a couple of golfers. This was the most beautiful and challenging course I have seen. Many beautiful views of the ocean and many hills and valleys. You could rarely see where you were aiming to land the golf ball. But it was such a great experience. Lost a lot of... More

Hard to top Plantation...incredible views, great golf challenge (but not frustratingly difficult), excellent course conditions - just all in all a top notch round of golf.

We have been to this course before, but it was wonderful to have the opportunity to play this course...especially just before the Tournament of Champions. Stunning views....my husband, son, and daughter in law played the course, and I drove a cart with my mother in law...took photos and appreciated the area. From the golfers..." this course was everything it was... More

Amazing golf course that is a great challenge. Played twice during my recent visit to Kapalua and loved it. The views are incredible and the golf course is a serious challenge.

This is a bucket list course for ant avid golfer. Great day of golf with my 18 year old daughter. There is not a more picturesque course on the planet. Make sure and use the flyover function on the cart. Most fairways and greens have major slopes. Also beware of being distracted by jumping whales in your backstroke...Staff at the... More

First time I have played this track. Great course! Lots of great views and crazy blind shot. Coming from Florida club selection was a pure guessing game. Staff and conditions were amazing.

We go to all the islands and the Plantation course is my favorite. You play the same course the Pros play in January and it is a fun course. You have great views, lots of unique holes and fast greens. I do not suggest this course for beginners. We get the "after 1:00" rate. If your tee time is 1:30... More
