Pop in for a drink. If Maddy is there she'll look after you. She knows her footy, will let you sample some of the local boutique brews before you buy, and is a great conversationalist. Wish I had more time to spend here.

Recently I was in the pub for the social dinner with Footy Almanac writers. It's a unique pub for me as Japanese - having Percy's photos while playing for Carlton Football Club. And the atmosphere was great. Percy and his bartenders were friendly and make me feeling a home of socialising in Melbourne. I will be back on my next visit to Melbourne. Thanks guys!

A decent local but that's about where it stops. Good bar. Food's ok but not spectacular. There's nothing that jumps out as exceptional here though.

Lovely old style pub . Great bar staff beautiful open fire places . Really cosy . It's a shame the food is just ok . The menu doesn't seem to change much . It's not yummy but it's not yummy either just food. Wouldn't go back for the food. But it's a lovely bar for a drink especially on a cold winter night

Our family love the friendly staff and service at the North Fitzroy Arms. We have made it our local as its so friendly, service is great and its relaxing. Its not pretentious, a home away from home for some. We were stuck in January as we were have a big function on Australia day and all the venues were small and very expensive. Brian said if we were in the country we'd go to the local pub or RSL or Footy club. So the search commenced! We called Terry at the pub and he was wonderful. We went in sampled wines and met with the chef Brett. Together we developed a menu- the to Australia Day- country style food with a CWA touch. We had 250 people and everyone commented on how fantastic the food was and what a relaxed and friendly place. Many of our friends n have made it their local now. The food is good but the vegetarian option last Saturday night were limited. Somethings the food is sensational. Importantly , Terry and Percy Jones always make you welcome. Fitzroy and Carlton Footy memorabilia abounds. Percy is always up for a chat. A fire in the winter, spaces to hold meetings, a quiet place for a drink. They know their regulars with a warm welcome. Its worth stepping out of hipsterland in North Fitzroy to feel like you're in a great place to relax and drink at great prices. Great venue for a big bash. Give it a go!
