Travelled from main island to Gozo via arranged tour. Very historical island and can easily spend a long day touring important historical places. A day tour is more than enough. Important historical sites to see.

We bought the sunset tickets (from 1 PM to 8 PM) from the company Malta Sightseeing (50 euros for 2 persons) and we traveled to Comino with a medium ship, the cruise was very long and they also made a stop in Bugibba to pick some more tourists. So, we only had around 3 hours to stay in the Blue Lagoon.
We had "all inclusive", but that's hardly enough, you spend 7 hours on this trip and they provide you with "lunch", which is a cheap sandwich and you can only drink the cheapest alt-coke on the market and when you get to Comino hungry and thirsty you'll only get ripped off from those guys over there, for example, you pay 4 euros for the worst hot-dog ever, the bread had mold.
The view is nice with crystal water and beautiful cliffs, we had snorkeling with us, but there wasn't much to see underwater. There are strong sea currents in the area with the beach and in other places more isolated there's a lot of garbage in the water.

While it was nice to see the islands, I wouldn't say this trip was worth the price! For Gozo we were just dropped off at a city centre for an hour, but Comino was worth it! Most of the day was spent on the boat! Most the time we didn't know what was going on because it was poorly organised!

We did the captain Morgan cruise, all inclusive. The boat ride there was crowded, but pleasant. We passed the time playing cards. The boat stopped off in Gozo, but as we only did the blue lagoon, not the Gozo but, we stayed on. The water was crystal clear and excellent for swimming. The beach is miniature so make sure to bring a big beach blanket to sit up on the rocks.

One thing we really wanted to do during our holiday was a boat trip over to Gozo and Comino. We chose Extreme Boats as there was an open bar and was cheaper than some of the others. (should have known that it wasn't going to be great).
We were told to be at the jetty by 10:15 and we didn't sail until way after this time. I know they need time to issue wristbands and ensure everyone is there, however I thought this was too early and there was a scramble to get on the boat. Once on the boat it was rammed! We ended up standing. The bar was always busy and only served everything in small cups so of course there was a constant queue.
When we got to Gozo, we went ona bus with a really impatient bus driver who didn't tell us what anything is. We stoped off at an indoor market for 15 minutes with people trying to get you to buy their wares. Then back on the bust to Victoria, the capital where you are dropped off for 2 hours. As it was the middle of the day, there were hardly any shops open. There was a little market by the cathedral which was nice to have a look at, but we just kept checking on the time.
Once back on the boat it was time to go to Comino. we thought we would get some time to swim in the blue lagoon. When we arrived, it was sooo busy. All the boats from other trips were there and to get up onto the island there was one set of steps which were narrow so as people were coming down, others couldn't go up. By the time we got to the blue lagoon, (after walking over pebbles, not suitable for anyone with mobility issues) we only had 30 mins and we knew we had to get back, so we sat by the blue lagoon for 10 minutes before making our way back on the crowded boat. Then as we were arriving back in Bugibba, they had the cheek to ask for tips as we disembarked!
Don't wate your money!

We booked for the full day Daily Gozo & Comino Blue Lagoon Cruise. This is a complete waste of money. DO NOT go with this company (Malta Sightseeing Buses and Supreme Cruises).
Firstly their buses are so old and decaying that the seat belts don't work. Half of the audio doesn't work and the buses are really dirty and unkept.
The queue at Silema to board the boat (it's not a boat, it's more like a ferry) was literally 500+ people long!! By the time we got into the boat it was full. No seats on the middle deck. Options are to sit inside in an area which was like a sauna with no air conditioning or the top deck which they wanted an extra €10 each for. Incidentally no seats or umbrellas just horrible Sun loungers. People were having to stand in the passage ways. It was packed. There was no safety briefing and I did not see enough life jackets for the 800 plus people. We set sail late as they kept letting more and more people on.
The 'free bar' serves warm water in a child's cup and only allows you 1 cup per person! This is after you've waited in a queue of 50 plus people. The beer was warm and all in all it was terrible.
Upon arrival at Gozo the buses were packed. We were promised a tour of sites but actually dumped who knows where for 90 minutes!
Then back to boat which was full again so no seats! Onto the Blue Lagoon which if this is what you want to do I highly recommend you find another tour operator. It was a farce. A bigger farce than the earlier proceedings!
They don't stop in the Lagoon and have no steps from the boat into the water (like most boats!). You have to walk up a stone-rock path along the coast (a good 10 minute walk - after you've waited 20 minutes to actually get off the boat) to get to the Lagoon. Very difficult if you have kids or any mobility problems.
The whole day is FALSE ADVERTISING in the greatest sense of the words.
Really horrible miserable waste of a days holiday.
Do NOT book with this company. The staff don't care and are rude.

What an absolute waste of money first of all we booked the trip from salema with captain Morgan. We were told that it was on one of there large boats but when we arrived at the port we found out that it was in fact on one of the old Turkish sailing boats. We went on board only to find out that there was no seating you just had a very thin mattress thing to sit on and with two people approaching there 60 s it was a very painful trip. As for comino itself I have been a number of times but this time there was not any chance of going for a swim as there was no room at all with what looked like thousands of people there plus there are now a number of food outlets there now so at times it was unsafe to try and walk along the paths as they were blocking the paths. About the only thing that was ok about the trip was the drinks and light lunch on board the boat which were plentiful and good.

Thanks to all the terrible reviews just gutted I read them too late! Hopefully I will rescue someone from parting with 40 Euro.
Let's start with the positives?
There are none!
On with the negatives queueing for the boat, the boat had a thousand people on it, the open bar was a joke a thimble of fluid not even a bottle of water handed over. More like a booze cruise where groups were off their faces by 1130am. Throwing up and asleep across seats. So bad we bailed out and caught a ferry back and a taxi. Best 50 Euros spent all day 😎tried to get an idea of what was going on from staff but they just wanted to sell a powerboat ride or a snorkel. Even that was between lugs of a fag and sharing their passive habit!
Gozo was lovely though despite Supreme efforts to ruin the day.
Advice get to Gozo and do open top tour and get an individual trip to blue lagoon. It might cost a bit more but the memories will be better.
If on a budget and love drunken chaos then fill ya boots the only thing missing is a bit of exotic baccy filling the air! Oops top deck for that 😎

Myself and my sister booked a one day boat cruise to Gozo and Comino for 18th August. On arrival to pick up our wristbands, we realised that we had left our ticket in the hotel. We wouldn't have had time to go back and get it without missing the boat. One of the guys who works for Extreme Boat tours noticed us searching our bags for the ticket. When we explained our predicament, he trusted us and gave us our wristbands for the trip. It was very kind of him and we were very grateful. I'm not sure this would have happened back in the UK so we were surprised at this. The boat tour was brilliant with an open bar all the way there and back. Wonderful views, comfortable trip and polite helpful staff. It was by far our favourite day in Malta. I would highly recommend this trip to anybody.

What initially sold me on this tour was being able to see both Gozo and Comino relatively easily on one day, Except once you get to Gozo, the bus just takes to one spot and drops you off in Victoria for 2 hours and then back to the harbour. Whereas what I was sold was a hour tour of the northern half of Gozo (with stops for pictures), a hour in Victoria followed by a hour tour of the south half of Gozo (again, also with stops for pictures)

Hello,
Can you please recommend a cruise company for the Gozo and Comino + Blue Lagoon?
We need to explore more of Gozo and have more time and we would like to swim a bit at the Blue Lagoon and if possible take a boat cave tour in Comino.
What is your experience and what would you recommend?
For now I am looking at Captain Morgan and Luzzu Cruises...

COME TORNARE ???? ....praticamente impossibile, credo . e l'albergo è sempre full booked e per giunta costoso. HAI UNA SOLUZIONE VALIDA DA PROPORMI ?? grazie

Thanks.
