We live a far distance from Almonte but once in a while we go there to shop in the historic downtown. Very well preserved buildings and a good selection of retailers. We always stop at Palms for a coffee and delicious fresh scones!

People here like it the way it is. No diversity at all. All white. People here have no problem speaking with bigoted attitudes in public. Very rural. Not open to new faces. I have lived all over Canada and the people here are stupid hicks.
