Its a huge dam, see the wall its quite long, public not allowed on top, presently some construction work is happening. In front of the dam the well known Brindavan garden, can walk around, good picnic spot. Didn't see the dancing lights. Familiar attraction with proper parking, entrance fee, boating, eateries and crowd.

The dam was built across river Kaveri in 1924. If you are in the area drive by and get some pictures from the bridge across. Access to the main dam is not allowed any more.

This is one of the best Dam that I have seen. The structure is well planned and a visitor can really get the magnitude of this huge place just looking down at the sluice gates and the thunderous roar of the water being let out. The reservoir is huge and stretches for miles. The gardens too, designed by Sir M... More

A great construction by M. Vishvesvraiya on river kaveri during 1924 (near a 100 yrs), near Vrindavan garden. The place has become historical now. But still the dam is standing tall.

The dam is really a great structural marvel but we are just unsuccessful in saving water for ourselfs but losing it all.. The dam wears a dried up look which just restricts the beauty of the dam....
