The shrine of Lord Mallikarjuna picturesquely situated on a flat top of Nallamalai Hills, Srisailam is reputed to be one of the most ancient kshetras in India. It is on the right side of the River Krishna in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. This celebrated mountain is also named as Siridhan, Srigiri, Sirigiri, Sriparvatha and Srinagam. It has been a popular centre of Saivite pilgrimage for centuries.

One of the twelve jyotirlinga this Sri maliikarjuna temple is nestled deep in the forest of Andhra Pradesh. The arrangements in the temple are adequate but not so great. The normal darshan time is around 1-2 hrs depending on your arrival time. But the most frightening part about the place is finding accomodation especially for a solo traveler. I was... More

It's a good temple. Very organized. But unfortunately, the temple management try to create unnecessary crowds and delay the darshan. Their philosophy behind 'why so much time it takes to darshan' is pathetic. We tried to enter and see the jyotirlingam at 10:30 in night. Not much crowd was there at that time, still they unnecessarily locked the gate so... More

A very sacred place - one of the Jyotirlinga temple. We visited late in the evening . Had to stand in a Queue for about an hour in spite of being senior citizens as there was no proper guidance from the staff. Corridors are dimly lit with sign posting only in Telugu . On the whole it was not a... More

We were a group of five visiting the temple just three days before the big event- Shivaratri. People were pouring in. Facilities are good at the temple. There are separate entrances to the shrine for Senior Citizens and physically handicapped persons. We could have good darshan and sparsha seva. The arrangements made by the Temple authorities are good. We stayed... More
