Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Greens Bush is on the Mornington Peninsula, part of the National Park. It's easy to get to and its a great place for some bushwalking, exspecially if you have some out-of-town visitors who want to see some of Austrlia's unique woldlife. You are almost certain to see some kangaroos and you will see native birdlife. The walk in the bush will interest anyone who hasn't been out of a city before. By the way, it is difficult, though not impossible, for people with disabilities to experience this attraction.

This is a great section of real, fairly untouched bush in the northern part of the Mornington Peninsula National Park. I only did the tracks that were part of the Two Bays Trail, but there was great variety in the type of vegetation. The trails were fairly well maintained and gently undulating, but not much in the way of facilities - it was a long way between picnic benches! Also, although it doesn't show on the map, there is now a portaloo at the Lightwood Creek campsite. I was disappointed not to see any kangaroos, but I did see a snake and a couple of nice birds. Very enjoyable walk.

The Greens Bush section of the Mornigton Peninsula National Park offers bush walks of varying lengths from 1.6km to the 8.9km track that is part of the much longer Two Bays Track. The walks can be accessed from the end of Greens Road - gravel road, limited parking and no facilities, the ford where Baldry's Road crosses Main Creek - BBQ facilities or from Boneo Road at the car park for the Bushrangers Bay Track. The paths are all well made and sign posted but not suitable for prams or strollers due to some stepped or narrow sections. Boggy areas are all board walked with wire covered planks to reduce slipping. The trails traverse a variety of different habitats from open woodlands and grass tree areas to fern filled gullies. There is always plenty of bird life and resident eastern grey kangaroos and wallabies. During warmer months echidnas can be spotted beside the path. If you enjoy just being 'in the bush' then these gentle and quiet walks will suit you - if you are seeking sweeping views then perhaps the track from Seawinds to Waterfall Gully, part of the Arthur's Seat area would be a better option. The area has many excellent wineries and cafes should you require sustenance after your hike.

Really nice walking area that is well marked. Beautiful scenery beside a lovely babbling creek and beautiful slopes and glades with eucalyptus, grass trees and ferns. It’s perfect for a good walk, short or lengthy.

If you have overseas visitors who have never seen kangaroos in the wild, this is the place. Just park and walk quietly into the bush and you will find literally hundreds of kangaroos in several big mobs. Thy are not frightened of humans and one can get quite close before they decide to move off - also a wonderful thing to see.

This was a 90 minute walk from the top of the hill on Baldry’s Road 450 metres from the bush track. It was a useful activity to combine with the useful fitness regime in a gym.

If you like to get up reasonably close to many Eastern Gray Kangaroos, a walk through Highfield, part of Greens Bush and the Mornington Peninsula National Park you will find none better than here. There are three entrances into the park off Boneo Road but take the one closest to Cape Schanck, and walk through the open hills for great scenery and yes a load of Kangaroos.Nothing better on a sunny winter day.

There are three entrances off Boneo Road and all three are worthwhile visiting. The area known as Highfield is essentially bare land covered in bracken and where you can usually sight fifty plus kangaroos. The Main Creek Picnic Area closer to Flinders is also a pretty walk along and above the creek.
