Not being the usual walker type and coming from a very flat lincolnshire, we decided for a weekend breaks in the peaks and happened to find this place. Absolutely breathtaking views and the memory of enjoying a morning coffee sat on the top of the edge will always stay with me. Exciting nook and crannies to explore for the more... More

Not being quite as good at walking up hills as I used to be I parked near the top of Curbar Edge at the National Trust car park. I then walked for about a mile or 20 minutes along the top of the Edge. It was a beautiful sunny day and the views are just stunning. It is possible to... More

Curbar Edge along with the nearby Baslow Edge form a rock grit stone ridge offer superb walking and exploring terrain with sweeping views of the Derbyshire Dales. There is a good sized car park at Curbar Gap, on Clodhall Lane and some handy layby spaces further down the lane, at this point you are between the two Edges, the Eagle... More

We were after a short to medium walk so we parked in Curbar and set off from there. We walked along the river and then up to the edge. The scenery was incredible. As an enthusiastic amateur photographer, the views offered plenty of opportunity to take some snaps and there was the added bonus of a pub on route!

Having the privilege of living just five minutes from 'the edge' is an amazing God given privilege. Curbar Edge, along with Baslow Edge, provide beautiful scenery with routes for walkers, runners, cyclists, dog walkers and horse riders. There is car parking, though this is limited and often taken quickly. A cafe - van frequents the Curbar Edge car park which... More

Yet another stunning part of the British countryside, I've been coming here since I was a child and it's still as scenic and beautiful as it was then. Once whilst walking with a friend a jet passes through the valley below us, unreal!

We visited Curbar Edge today to do the round loop walk along the top and down through the birch woodland below the edge. It was a great walk despite the miserable weather, adding up to about 3-4 miles. The views from the top are great - it's a great photo opportunity. Highly recommended.
