Decided to visit the mine while visiting Hawker and glad I did. I was the only person on the last tour of the day, so a real personal experience. Mike was my guide. He was a mine of info (non pun intended) really knowledgeable without being boring. He took his time explaining every aspect of the mine and answering any questions. A great experience and wish I'd booked to stay in the area. Its definitely special! A big thanks to Mike for making it so interesting.

Fantastic tour. Susan was a wonderful guide - very informative but great fun too. We were the last tour of the day and, even though there were only two of us, the tour went ahead. The mine was incredible and the way it is all presented is superb. It also felt safe, but you could imagine how dangerous it would have been working in the mine more than a century ago. If you are staying anywhere in the area, this tour is not to be missed. Good value for money too.

Absolutely loved going into the Blinman Mine. Our guide was Susan, she was fantastic, so knowledgeable & entertaining 😊 Definitely worth doing & reasonably priced. Great community effort in keeping this mine "alive".

Mike was excellent! Great tour, informative, funny, enjoyable. Not too difficult in terms of physical exertion, suitable for young children also. Value for money, must do! Grab a feed at the local pub or bakery whilst in town. Highly recommend this tour, only about 1km from pub.

What an experience Susan brought the whole history of the creation of Blinman Mine back to life. What a wonderful story teller and tour guide. Of course we met Quinn her favourite character and Old Tom too. Don’t miss this experience one for the memory book and please meet Sandra in the bakery…. And lastly the ladies at the haberdashers. Leave your visiting card at the Pub.

This was a great experience and especially enhanced by Mikes knowledge, care and commentary. My wife was very apprehensive about going underground however, this was alleviated greatly by Mikes safety briefing and in particular, the offer to leave the mine if anyone felt uncomfortable. This helped make it a great experience for her. I managed to get my parents in the tour as well and we all highly recommend it. The tour takes around one hour, is near to Blinman and you can walk around the site above ground before or after the tour. Helmets and lights are supplied and the only clothing requirement was closed toe footwear, otherwise it was lovely and cool for us Kiwis. We went through in shorts and tee shirts. We also spent a night at the nearby "Onya" campground also run by Mike. A lovely basic camp with a great view and we were able to walk to the nearby hill on Mikes recommendation, thanks so much Mike.

This was a informative tour suitable for all ages - kids and oldies and inbetween. Stories are told that really put you in the era. A really interesting stop that is a must do if visiting the area. Book ahead so that you don't miss out.

This was a great tour of the old copper mine. The stories of some of the boys and men who worked in this mine were astonishing. Gary our guide, was able to provide the group with how it would have been working in the appalling conditions underground and the different roles children played in the mine. We would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

Highly informative with excellent displays & interesting stories that really make the history come alive. Questions were welcomed (& answered well). I longed for just 15 more minutes on the Tour. Well Done!
