This place has an amazing collection. Can take pics. Very friendly staff. Very educational. Walk through the German's Headquarters. Experience a paratroopers flight. Can be a short and sweet stop. Or you can spend hours it's your choice. They respect your experience. Highly recommend!

We visited this museum on October 17th. Behind the new hangar there is a free parking lot. There is a discount for active military. The new part of the museum is worth the detour. In this new part are a lot of D-Day stories of individual soldiers. Take your time to read them and find out what became of those... More

This is a very interesting museum with lots of war memorabilia which is displayed really well. There are three parts to this museum. The main part which is a typical display type museum and then a large warehouse with a simulator. You get into a large airplane, as a "paratrooper" and the journey and plane crash are simulated through site,... More

Deceivingly large museum we only spent 1.5 hours in but could have stayed much longer in - a huge, well described, and varied array of unique and meaningful artifacts and memorabilia with great displays. The paratrooper plane simulation was by far the most realistic simulation I've ever been in - how they got that so realistic is hard to imagine.... More

My wife and I visited this wonderful place during October and was completely amazed at the entire experience. The walk through one of the most famous original buildings of the D-Day campaign is very atmospheric and engrossing to anyone who has an interest in one of the greatest military achievements of modern times. Continuing on to the main experience and... More

I have missed this museum several times on Normandy visits over the past few years, due to the perception that is was a bit small. This year to fill in some time after having seen almost all the other museums, we decided to give it a go. What a pleasant surprise!! I had seen leaflets for the new 'D Day... More

Lost for words, this is a must see, it tells a story but in such a different manner. I would highly recommend this museum, its alive, its relevant and it offers a glimpse at the lives of those who came to free Europe from tyranny in the dark days of 1944. Thank you to all who have made this museum... More

Was here last month, and although I did not know what to expect. This place is great. The hairs on my neck stood up. If you come to Normandy, this place should be part of you itinerary as a must see and do.

This museum was on my list to see during my 5 day cycle through Normandy, and I can say that it was fantastic. I was greeted by the very friendly Johanna and she took the time to explain to me a bit about the museum and exhibits inside. They have done something very special here. The exhibits go very deep... I highly recommend this museum. Attention to detail in the displays is faultless. It is a fitting tribute to the men and women who lost their lives to liberate France.
