This is a fantastic historical site that gives excellent evidence of the advanced civilization that existed long before Kenya was colonized. The elaborate city plan, the water and sewerage systems were awesome, especially for our children who don't think much of pre-colonial Kenya and are...More

I had no expectations so when we were jumped by monkeys when entering, we were all taken by surprise! They were just sweet though, and only left us with some sand in our necks. The ruins and the grand baobab trees are beautiful, and our...More

We visited this place after everyone said it's a good place. I did not think it was as good as people said. Not very well kept. Just looks like a totally ruined place and you cannot make out what it was if the guides don't...More

Wonderful site, best visited towards early evening. Really beautiful and eerie, feels like being in a set from Indiana Jones. The curators were very charming. Look out for people asking to see your tickets who are actually unqulaified guides.

Our history is very key as part of our heritage. Visit Gede Ruins and see how the old days were. Located near Malindi Airport, the ruins are easily accessible near Watamu town.

One of the oldest historical gem in coast province, apart from the structures fading out slowly the guides will paint a true picture of what Gede ruins looked like and how the people then survived regardless of the many challenges that faced them
