Commonly known as joydol in local language. A beautiful temple but very poorly maintained. The lake near the temple looks stunning.

One of the important attractions at Sibsagar. Located at a distance of 110 km approx from Dibrugarh. This place gives you details of Ahom history in Assam.

This location gives one a first hand view of the imprint of Ahom history in Assam. It shows an amalgamation between the original Ahom (Tai) culture and the so-called mainland Hindu traditions brought in from North India.

After the death of Sati Joymati Kuwari, her son Swargadeo Rudra Singha, made this huge tank and a temple to pay respect to his mother, who lost her life as a sacrifice.
