North Narrabeen has long been renowned for having some of the best, most consistent waves on the East Coast and along the way the area has produced some of Australia's most famous surfers. From the lookout on the point at the northern end of the beach you can see the current crop ply their skills. (Just look for the crowd of onlookers with cameras.)
If you are not a red-hot surfer North Narrabeen still has plenty to offer. There are very good ocean baths also at the north end that attract families and serious lap swimmers. The beach is also very long, extending several kms to Collaroy Beach in the south. Very good for a long beach walk and there are plenty of uncrowded (though also unpatrolled) sections along the way too.

Narrabeen beach has so much to offer. Including exposed rocks during low tide, a lagoon that is located next to the rock pool. Long sandy beach to go on a nice long walk or bi-centennial coastal walk up the coast to Warriewood beach and further.

North Narrabeen beach is nestled bedside Narrabeen lagoon and has a stunning Rockpool and a long sandy beach which is fabulous for surfing .
Walking around the lagoon is also excellent for all age groups with a dedicated pathway for bicycles and pedestrians. The lagoon also has several beautiful spots for swimming, fishing or canoeing 🛶.
North Narrabeen beach is located on the northern beaches 25km north of the CBD.

This a great Market at North Narrabeen right on the lake, with a full range of different stores, from clothes to handcrafts, plants, fruit and vege and yummy food stores as well. There also is this great store there that takes moulds of babies hands and feet they then compile it into a nice frame with a photo, really good gift idea.
Worth a wander and look if you are around the Northern Beaches!

Narrabeen and North Narrabeen are approx. 40 minutes North of the CBD. You can get there by bus or car. Narrabeen sits between the beach and the shores of a lake/lagoon. At first glance it doesn't seem much but get out and walk around. The lake has a shared path all the way around that is great for an easy ride or long walk. At present (May) the lake has a family of black swans visiting. And has huge numbers of ducks and other sea bird life around and in it. You can walk over the classic concrete bridge and under some pelicans that seem to sit on the light poles, there all day. Under the bridge, people fish (I saw a guy catch a huge flathead from there) and there are swallow nests built into the foundations. There are heaps of small cafes spread through out Narrabeen that do great coffee, The Deli on Waterloo was lovely, Waterloo is the name of the street it is on. Most of the people seem friendly and bike riding is an easy way to get around here. There are farmers markets on during the day on Fridays behind the caravan park. Narrabeen has an amazing headland that looks out to Long Reef and has a great walking track around it. And of course it has a good surf beach and a well maintained rock pool. The caravan park is rated as one of the best in Australia but it does have a price to go with it. Just North of Narrabeen is Warriewood, which also has great cafes and a lovely little beach and headland walks. The sunrises are beautiful and the water is still warmish.

Fabulous beach, with excellent waves for surfing. Clean and picturesque. Has a great rock pool for swimming as well, and the lagoon, but this needs to be open to the surf, for optimum water quality.

A beautiful patrolled beach on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Glorious rockpool for pottering and looking at the lcoal rock life plus for the kids the opening of the Lagoon comes in from the sea and there is a wonderfully safe and clean Lagoon area to swim. Plenty of Cafes are close by and the North Narrabeen Surf Club has a functioning Bar Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon/evenings where you can sit on the balcony overlooking the azure beachfront and enjoy a cold one or two. PARADISE!

North Narrabeen Beach is another example of a beautiful Sydney northern beach.
Plenty to do, simply walk the beach, surf or enjoy the rock pool.

Walking from North Narrabeen to Collary is just Heavan. The Narrabeen beaches are awesome Aussie surfbeach and a must for every travler to experience. Come on a warm sunny day and the ocean sound and cleanliness of the water will be an experience you wont forget. Feels like paradise yet so close to Sydney
Better than Bondi or Manly beaches although don't expect a lot of choices for cafes or eateries.

At the beach it is metered paid parking, unless you have a parking permit. There are some local streets near the beach that are not timed or metered.
