We went here today originally hoping to do the more difficult hike to the summit (Andino, I think it's called) but accidentally went to the wrong entrance. The guides did say you need to be there by 9:30am, though, so that's something to keep in...More

Unfortunately the only day we could do the hike was quite cloudy so views were limited but upon reaching the mine (the furthest you can go between June-August as summit is closed off) we had walked through and above the clouds so got some stunning...More

We walked on the walkers-only trail to the most accessible point on the walk. Note: The 'full' 7km trail to the summit is closed throughout June, July and August annually. The fee is very reasonable and you are treated to excellent views. The path is...More

La Campana offers a variety of trails to hike for all levels of people. Unfortunately the summit is not open in the winter. I was told it opens in September though. Great place to enjoy the day and do some sightseeing.

Since it's winter, the very top past the mines is closed; however, the hike up to the mines is still a decent length and the views are beautiful! It was very easy to get to via public transport for a day trip from Valparaiso or...More

Went here for a day from Valparaiso. We manage to reach the entrance of the park by using public transport. If you want to climb all the way to the summit you will have to leave Valpo very early in the morning. We didn´t so...More

We visited the Ochoa branch of the park, the only location in Chile for the striking wine palms that are in danger of extinction. We hiked up to the Mirador for a view of the valley of palms and continued up to the Casino area,...More

Starting off just before 9am, the park ranger gave us a little map, pointed out where we can refill our water bottles and when we should turn back. The hike to the top of Serra La Campana is 14km, the height is 1920m. You start...More
