Koreans do not have the best reputation with animals. The bears are kept in tiny, tiny cages. It made me cry.

We went to this park through a tour with Kooridor Tours, Pyeontaek (near Camp Humphreys). Although the Manchurian Bears are considered the highlight of this park, we really enjoyed the botanical gardens. We visited during a record heat wave in South Korea and expected to...More

Though there is little to do in Sejong and Bear Tree Park has well kept grounds, the treatment they give to their animals there is simply atrocious. A large number of bears are kept in only a few cages (about 20 bears split among 3...More

Gift shop & restaurant on site. Beautiful gardens. However all the bears are in concrete pits. There isn't anything natural about their habitat. You can pay for feed to feed the bears by throwing the food to them. They all act like they are starving...More
