Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

DFO Essendon is in the middle of a seasonal changeover and there are some great bargains to be had. I bought a pair of Florsheim walking shoes, great for my next trip which will involve lots of walking. Other outlets, like RM Williams, the Bushman's Outfitters. have some great prices on their marquee lines, such as their famous stockman's boots. Car parking can be tight; shoppers come from miles around to grab the bargains at DFO Essendon.

DFO Essendon stocks a huge range of quality merchandise, everything from R M Williams, the Bushman's Outfitters, to high fashion women's wear, at bargain prices. DFO Essendon has an excellent of range of footwear. I bought a pair of exclusive Florsheim casual shoes last time I visited and also some quality Asics runners. Spotlight is a favorite of my wife. Spotlight stocks a vast range of things for dressmakers and hobbyists. DFO Essendon is straightforward to get to. Parking is free; it is not usually a problem.

Now that the lockdown has ended and the sun is shining, shoppers are thronging Essendon Direct Factory Outlet. DFO has a huge range of shops and lots of bargains. Some high-quality outlets, but are not cheap, such as Ted Baker and RM Williams, but are good value. Puma is offering 'two for the price of one" deals on some lines Spotlight always has bargains. DFO has ample parking, many shoppers are on the lookout for bargains before the Christmas rush begins in earnest..

Had the most horrendous experience with a sales woman from the corridor pop up 'beauty clinic' in area near Macpac and Adidas. She accosted me, as well as my friend separately, and proceeded to put product on my face, despite saying I needed to leave, asking way too many personal questions and using brutal, and on reflection, highly unethical sales techniques. The product Rejeunir did seem to tighten eye bags (and there's the hook to a middle aged lass) but cost was outrageous compared to online (I later discovered). Bag was from company Botanifique which I later discovered has been taken to VCAT for unethical sales practices. After much battling to escape I fell for the 25% off and spent $300 on a very tacky bottle. As an educated person I feel ashamed I fell for this. My defences are down when at DFO as 'hard sells' are not usually order of day. I also live in fear of my credit card being used by this woman. Not going back to DFO for a while. Bad taste in mouth.

When you need something quickly, why shop around? Shoppers come from miles around to find a bargain at DFO Essendon. After 10 years of service, our vacuum cleaner expired. At DFO, we found two retailers offering vacuum cleaners in a variety of price ranges, not far apart. We bought a reputable brand that suits our needs. My only quibble is that parking was hard to find, but it was Saturday afternoon.

Dear 619jeffry, Thank you for taking time to review DFO Essendon. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your shopping at DFO Essendon and that the overall experience was a positive one. The traffic at our centre can pick up very quickly throughout the day especially during weekends and public holidays. We are sorry to hear that it was hard to find a parking spot when you visited us. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the centre and always striving to work with the retailers to provide our customers with the best offers possible. We look forward to your next visit and hope that we can exceed your expectations.

DFO Essendon draws shoppers from miles around the west and north of Melbourne. DFO is on the freeway, it's very easy to get to. DFO is an acronym for "Direct Factory Outlet." DFO has a whole range of retailers' DFO has the latest fashions, and many other trendy stores. I am still wearing a pair of Florsheim shoes I bought a year ago. Bargains are everywhere.

Thought coming here would be great to get a few bargains. Found pricing for most things were the same as shopping centres. The bargains were basically stuff that no one would buy.

Many food stalls but nothing really gluten free. Most didn't know what gluten was. Muffin break had 2 muffins which were gluten free but were touching muffins which were not gluten free. This would make you sick from cross contamination. Mentioned this to the girl but she didn't seem to care or understand how dangerous this was. 20 mins later, walked past again and muffins are still touching. Very bad.

Found our way to DFO Essendon Fields. Had trouble to find a park sort of close. There is a good choice of shops available here. It would be nice to see more food options.

Have been here many times but don’t often buy anything as the products are either expensive or old stock. There are signs everywhere with 50 to 70% off. I have seen these signs for years and that’s all they are. There are no discounts to be had. Disappointing it is a great place. Food hall is reasonable.

..If you know how to search.

There were many items on sale and with good bargains. But one must be patient to flip thru the various items and the particular store/outlet of interest.

The place is out of Melbourne City. We were driving therefore not sure about the availability and convenience of public transportation system. Good to note that parking is free (considering the expensive parking charges in Melbourne city vicinity).
