Butler peak is perched on a large rock with a 360 degree view. This is used as a fire lookout station. Closed in the winter. Definitely worth the drive.

I love hiking up this peak to the lookout tower....such an awesome view from here! I think it is now available for volunteers to stay and be on watch for forest fires.

The trails will be open if we do not have snow. Once the snow falls, the trails are closed for the winter.
