About
Our winery is a FAMILY. Matteo, Alessandra, Mario, Giovanna and then Katie, Renato and Claudia. The farm is started in the end of 1800 and from 2002 we started the ORGANIC agriculture. It is always open, every day of the year, but please advice before. You are more than WELCOME to visit and tour our cellars where you can taste our wines in the best vintages. Our new tasting-room offers you a breathtaking view of the “Langhe” hills which you will not forget. The tasting could see to Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Pinot Nero, Dolcetto, Arneis, Favorita, Chardonnay, Spumante Alta Langa with local salami, cheeses, and why not a lunch or dinner as a typical home cooking. PLEASE CONTACT US FOR BOOKINGS, THANKS!

We were suggested by our hotel host (Ca de Lupo) to come here. Great service, lovely chat with the owner and a long wine tasting session (free) with cheese and proper Italian salami.
We're both Italian and we were born in this region, so we know it inside out, this place is one to go! And needless to say we purchased a lot of wine!!

This is very much a family business, with three generations all actively involved, and with Katie, a knowledgeable Scot, to handle English-speaking visitors and clients. A tour of the winery gives a real insight into life in the Langhe vineyards, and into the Giribaldi family's distinctively organic approach to winemaking. The wine-tasting was excellent and imaginative, and a change to learn much by sampling different vintages of the various grapes - Arneis, Favorita, Barbera, Nebbiolo, and to hone our palates with a couple of blind tastings.
A warning - do not book a large meal for immediately after visiting the winery!

I absolutely loved this tour! I was warmly welcomed by Katie and Mario, and was able to taste the grapes right off the vines. The views were amazing, the wine was delicious, taking home some wine was an easy decision! I enjoyed seeing the winemaker finish cleaning the bottling station. Katie had the answers for every question I had and I would love to visit here again in the near future. 5 stars!!

Amazing wine tasting at Giribaldi! Katie is a knowledgeable and engaging host, taking time to explain the sustainable farming practices and organic approach used at Giribaldi. The wines, the tour, the conversation, the vineyard, the people - it’s all perfect at Giribaldi. The wines themselves are excellent and we are actively seeking them in the US - Arneis, Dolcetto, Barbaresco, Barbera and Barolo. Follow @vinigiribaldigiribaldi on Instagram.

We had never done a wine tasting before, drank wine but didn't really know a lot about it. Katie took time to pick us up from the trainsation to drive us to the vineyard, showed us around, explained a lot and just excited us overall for the topic. The wine tasting was excellent, in addition with cheeses and meat, and these hours were one of the best of our trip. We will definately will come back to Alba and the Gribaldi vineyard.

The level of experience at wine tasting visitations can often be based on the wine quality, whether you like the wine (or not), the unpretentious setting and warm ambiance, the splendid views of the vineyards and surroundings, and the people who genuinely welcome and serve you as if you were their most important guest for the moment. Furthermore, you may enter as a customer and stranger but can leave with a feeling as if you have been adopted by a family, a family rich in tradition of wine making and maybe more importantly, making friends. So we left completely fulfilled with all of the above: the ultimate level of experience (and with a few servings of wine and 2 bottles to go). A heartfelt thank you to the special lady who made this one of the most enjoyable events, my friend Katie. Go, and experience.
Wines purchased: 2011 Matteo (sparkling wine) and 2014 Barbaresco.
xoxo

We've been staying locally at Ca' del Lupo for several years & have often driven past Giribaldi. This time, having made contact via Twitter, we decided to visit.
Vendemmia had just started, so there was lots of activity as we walked through the vines and the red crates were being filled. We were shown around the winery and then to the tasting room - a room with one of the best views you'll ever see.
The tasting was relaxed and informative.
Well worth a visit

We tried a few wines but my favorite is always the Barbaresco.
Even if the Barbera is excellent. Easy to drink and taste in good company, especially with family and girl friends.
Never wrong to go for it!

We had a wonderful early evening private tasting at Girabaldi with our conductor, Katie. She was fantastic!! She took us through the whole process of how they make their wines and grow the grapes. The wines were amazing. We especially enjoyed the Barbaresco 2013 and the Arneis Lange 2016!!! Please visit the winery if you have an opportunity. The views in this region of Italy are just so breathtaking as well!!

What a super little vineyard. Although. It technically in Barolo they do produce in the region and sell there wine here. We were shown around by mario's sister who was charming. Once she talked us through their processes and we had a look at the cave we got to taste some wine. Thought the Barolo and sparkling were lovely and the view out the picture window was great. I know there are lots of vineyards but this is a gem.
