At the Butterfly Farm you will be escorted by your guide who will lead you through a specially created exhibition area of landscaped gardens. This is the butterflies own lush tropical garden playground! Here you will see hundreds of rare and exotic butterflies fluttering freely around you. The guide will identify different species, point out courtship and mating displays and tell butterfly facts and stories. You can also witness the various stages of the butterfly's life cycle, from butterflies laying their eggs to caterpillars hatching, growing and forming their chrysalis. Ask your guide how to handle the butterflies and caterpillars if you dare! The tour lasts around 15 minutes and you are welcome to stay as long as you like at leisure in the gardens. There is also an extensive selection of butterfly gifts and souvenirs in the shop, or drinks available in the shady cafe. Car parking and rest rooms on site free of charge.

We had a wonderful time exploring the gardens and the butterflies. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful variety of butterfly species and also appreciated all the work that went in to having so many medicinal herbs in the garden, each with its own label mentioning the...More

We were promised to see "hundreds of butterfly species". Maybe they were hidden but we have hardly seen a hundred at all, less than 20 different ones (of course, they were beautiful)

The Butterfly Farm offered a small group tour for about 15 minutes, then allowed us to watch and interact with butterflies as they flew around us or landed on us. The cost seemed a bit pricy, however, day visitors to the island are given a...More

On the road to a quiet beach there is this nice garden where you can sit and relax seeing the butterflies chase eachother. The entrance fee is a bit steep, USD 15, but follow-up visits are free.
