Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love how towns like to sprout about Marine Sanctuaries and Conservation yet you find rubbish littering the foreshores etc.
Really poor to see such beauty ruined by inconsiderate humans.

Jurien Bay - We drove for a couple of hours along the Great Indian Ocean Road which really is an Ocean Road with sand dunes and ocean to the left of us as we steadily headed north to Ningaloo. We stopped off briefly at a shack town (town is a very loose term for it – there are no shops) called Wedge, part of the Jurien Bay Marine Park, as we could see that the landscape was stunning and the sun was slowly dropping, a great place for a sunset pitstop.
Parking up in the small car park by the community of tin shacks - but all lived in - we walked for about 1 to 1.5km to the beach – the sand is a soft white powder, almost claylike in some areas, and walked through some dunes to a point opposite Wedge Island. Sunset done, a long walk back before it became pitch black -and it really does get so black once the sun is finally gone. We made the decision to return for a longer period and in daylight hours, on our trip back.

Stopped by for a look and stroll and realized I would like to go snorkel this spot. Nice beach access and the water looks inviting and interesting for a snorkel. Some nice barbies up on the fore front to picnic at. Peaceful place I plan to return to

Ideal place to stop for a break and breathe the sea air. Had lunch in one of the gazebos, BBQ are available if required as are shady trees. Also a great spot to walk the dog.

This is a lovely beach with the ocean nearby. What attracted me the most were the sand dunes. They were beautiful! They even had flowers in the dunes. Quite unique!
The beach goes on and on. The same with the dunes.
There was no sunlight while we got there. I am certain that when the sun shines, people come here to enjoy the sun and the ocean.
Worthwhile to enjoy!

Took a short stop here after visiting Lesueur National Park. The beach was dirty with washed ashore seagrasses and marks of motorcycle or car wheels. No idea whether driving by the beach was allowed. Nice view from the top of the small sand dune.
As Jurien bay has an extensive shallow lagoon rich with marine plants and animals, including sea lions and dolphins, it should be great for scuba diving or snorkeling in summer. Were there in winter/Aug. a few years back.
