You can drive up the 6 km long "Kennet River" road, right beside the Koala Kafe. It's an easy drive - look up in the trees and drive slowly. We were able to see several koalas - one really really close to the road! Definitely...More

Driving down the Great Ocean Rd we stopped at Kennet River to see if we could see some koalas and feed the birds. We got some seed from Kafe Koala. We were not disappointed, we saw 3 koalas and had some lovely birds come and...More

Tons of parrots around! You can buy bird seed from the koala kafe and although we didn’t get any, we saw a few other tourists who attracted birds all around them with food. Note that the white parrots (sulfur crested cockatoos) are quite aggressive, so...More

We made a stop to have a look for the koalas that are meant to be just beside the road. We did end up finding 1 sleeping in the tree. You can also feed the native birds. There is also a little cafe and shop...More

Great place to find parrots and koalas. The parrots are used to being fed and so getting pictures with parrots on you is easy. A quick drive down road is worth it to find more.

Koalas and birds everywhere, just magical. Don't go if its raining, and don't bother with the local shop or caravan park.

If you want to make sure you see a Koala in the wild, Kenneth river is the place. On our trip we just saw a couple, though just a minute walk from the carpark. Of course there are plenty of other places to see them...More

It's free and you will need a bathroom break at some point, right? You have to be patient to spot the koalas high up in the trees. The parrots on the other hand are likely to be very friendly and highly visible.

FYI You can walk up but ..... It’s a long walk We drive up slowly and after about 2 km started to see and hear them. Along with other great finds. No charge as the others mentioned.

None at all. Plan to spend nothing but time here. There are rosellas (a type of parrot) that you can hand feed and then take your time and stroll the path and I'm sure you will find some koalas.
