One of the best walks out of Leukerbad. It was a hot day so walked through shaded woods up by the side of the river was just so pleasant. open trellis sort of footing, and a quite steep staircase at the end which sways a bit if anyone else is on it.A maybe 30 minute walk with a few spectacular views of gorge and waterfall.

If in Leukerbad you must do this walk . From a small alley in the town with just an A4 poster pointing the way you can embark on this circular walk to the source of Leukerbad's thermal spring . About a 10/15 mins walk up a steep slope brings you to a series of metal walkways fastened to the side of the gorge . The scenery is great . You can also pull up a can of water from the river and feel exactly how warm the water is . At the top of the path you can go right across a meadow and back to Leukerbad, straight on to another town ( I think ) or go left as we did which takes you through more meadows and a great little restaurant and back to Leukerbad . Allow yourself a couple of hours on a nice day. Great fun and free ! …

Well worth visiting if you are in the area, lovely quiet walk, with medium difficulty, we wore walking boots which really helped. Beautiful views and well worth the walk
