Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I would only recommend going there if you're going to spend the whole day in order to justify the entrance fee. We didn't pay, we walked to the Il Spir Viewing Platform - a one and half our walk but worth it.

We had paid 5chf at the lake per person to go to the restaurant (it was re-imbursed when we bought food), the restaurant is not that good - mainly fast food so nothing special.

There's a whole walled-off region where you have to pay to get in and you can swim in the lake. We didn't expect that so didn't get in there.

Walk around the lake is free and beautiful. Nice location also, it's a very short walk from the Flims Waldhaus town area.

A definite must on your list if you are in the Flims / Laax area. Really picturesque lake, that wasn’t too busy when we visited. Really lucky to get nice weather for the time of year, and even though the water was a bit cold, it felt fine once out because of the sun.

The walk down from the parking area is fairly easy, not too steep. Coming back up though could be a challenge for some, so would recommend using the free lift service if you think you’d struggle.

Facilities like the WC are good. Plenty of them, clean and abiding by covid 19 rules.
You could probably spend the whole day here, but we broke it up by doing the trail through the forest to the viewing platform il spur which gives you great views of the gorge.

Really a lovely lake with an amazing Caribbean color, but completely overrated. It was jot nearly as amazing as I was expecting. Especially when you find out you have to pay 18 CHF to go in and see it. Otherwise you are left outside of it looking through a fence. Pretty sad for Swiss standards. Unfortunately it seems to be a tourist trap. I was shocked. I have never been to any other lake where you have to pay to see it. But in Flims there is Cauma and Cresta, both require entrance fees. They must make a lot of money off of that!

The lake itself is really beautiful and worthy anytime to visit it.
The lake is "protected" from visiting for free. There was long queue in front of the ticket entrance, in order to get in. Although it's controlled with number of guests, it's still full.
It's nevertheless a nice spot, still.

We had the pleasure of visiting the stunning lake in the Flims area, and it truly took our breath away. The beauty of the lake, with its crystal-clear waters and picturesque surroundings, is simply mesmerizing. Whether you're taking a leisurely stroll along the shore or simply admiring the view from afar, it's impossible not to be captivated by the tranquility and natural splendor of this hidden gem. If you're ever in the Flims area, we highly recommend making a stop at this stunning lake—it's an experience you won't soon forget.

Nested near Flims it is an easy walk from the parking place to the lake. You can either walk down the forest or take the cable car (which is nice for the view). Both take you less than 30 minutes. Better be early there (latest 9 am) to avoid the crowd around lunchtime). You can walk around the lake and even swim in the lake (max. 29 C in Summer). Crystal clear, turquoise water.
There is a restaurant (self-service) that serves basic but good food.

Drove hours across Switzerland to see this lake. We weren’t prepared for the huge wired fence that ruins the beauty of this lake. You have to pay per person to get in. Adults CHF 14.
Children (from 6-17 years) CHF 7.
We didn’t know that the lift was free and walked down and up. Lovely walk but should have been more prepared with taking swimming items with us.
I was only originally going to take photos and explore and didn’t realise that it was a private swimming pool.
Lovely lake but just a shame that there is a charge to get in when other beautiful lakes around Switzerland are free and aren’t ruined by man putting up an awful fence around it.

A beautiful blue lake between the mountains and the forest. With the Postbus you can get from Chur bus station to Flims without changing. There is a paved asphalt path from the bus stop to a lift to get directly down to the lake. According to Google, the elevator would be open at the beginning of May, but that was not the case. There is an unpaved path to the lake, but because I have trouble climbing up, that was not an option. The Caumasee is definitely worth a visit.

A beautiful lake, accessible either by car (there is private and paid parking) or by bus (there are regularly).

Possibility to access it through a small free elevator or downhill by a small step.

The Award of the lake entrance is paid and it is worth the visit.

Services also available: restaurant, toilet, garbage cans.
