Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are a number of lookouts and access points to the Bunda Cliffs which are a simply breathtaking coastal formation.
We free-camped overnight on the cliffs: there are a number of access points and spots that allow you to do this: we were at a spot about 40km west of Nullarbor Roadhouse.
Probably a dozen or so fellow travellers spread out over a couple of km of coastline that night: winds were only modest so an excellent night was had. The spot was a couple of km off the highway so not so much in the way of road noise.
Great overnight spot when travelling out this way.

There are several stops you can make to view the Bunda Cliffs with the outlook better at some locations than others.
While some old sights are closed due to unstable cliff tops, other places along the way are easy to access the sights over the Great Australian Bight.
Some stop points are signed, others not.
If you have a 4WD, you can easily drive along the dirt roads, (some a little overgrown) both near the cliff faces or further away for dozens of kilometres if you wish.
If you choose to do so, it is easy to access the highway on several roads and many locations along the way, just turn right and head North - it’s not far.

The Bunda cliffs near Eucla in Western Australia are the most beautiful cliffs I have ever seen in my trips around the world. We free camped on the edge of the cliff and I couldn’t get enough of the view and the desolation. It’s part of the so-called Nullabor which is the tree-less stretch of road between South Australia and Western Australia. Awesome!

When driving the Nullabor, stopping at the 3 Bunda Cliffs lookouts is a must. All lookouts are within a short walk from the car parks. The views are magnificent but the best one is the most eastern one. They are not well marked but once you have visited the first from either direction you will see a sign indicating how many km to the next 2.

There are a few proper viewing points along the highway, readily identifiable by the gaggle of caravans at each, and it's good to stop into all of them. Coming from the east, I kept seeing dirt roads going to the side, so at the section that's set up as a flying doctor runway, I turned off for the short drive to the cliffs. Unbelievable cliffs, steep, colourful and treacherous, with views over the dramatic southern ocean towards Antarctica. I probably shouldn't have turned off there as the cliffs can be unstable and dangerous (keep away from the edge) and the first proper viewing point turned out to be just after the runway. Note that close to Eucla, the cliffs start to move inland. The last viewing point gives a different sight, as you look over rolling hills connecting the highlands to the sea.

The views of the Great Australian Bight are stunning. The lookouts have been made much safer for visitors.

There are a number of marked and unmarked lookouts along this section of road and all offer a good and varying view. We visited on a cloudy day going west and a clear day on the way back. Great to see both ways.

It is great! The best spot/famous spot is Lookout Three. Don't miss it. The other look outs are worth stopping also.

We stopped at all 4 viewing stations for the Bunda Cliffs and they were a highlight of our trip across the Nullarbor with friends from France. The roads in are fairly short and no problem. Each view shows a totally different aspect, colours and composition of the Cliffs. Awe inspiring is the only way to describe the views that greet you. A must for any traveller across the Nullarbor!

The Bunda Cliffs range from Eucla in WA to the Nullarbor Roadhouse in SA, roughly 180+ K's and offer the best views of the Bight as you trans the Nullarbor ! While there may be 3 official viewpoints , give yourself a thrill and check out the slowly disappearing side tracks that offer close ups of this fantastic coastline !! Makes you realise how puny we mortals are in the overall scheme of things !

We are planning to spend one night camping at Bunda cliffs. Any suggestion about the best spot? or how should we choose? I believe that there are 3 potential camp sites at the cliffs, and we may have to look for somewhere more sheltered if windy. But what is your advice? We have an AWD car and 4WD camper trailer.

We stayed at Eucla at the caravan park but you are able to pull up on the cliffs and camp there, the wind would be your only issue. If it was a nice day though it wouldn't be a problem.

Can we drive from eucla past the old telegraph station and free camp and follow the top of the cliffs? Looked like a nice spot to stop when heading east for the night

There are many spots you can camp on the cliffs

Hey, are there signs to the lookout or is it just via dirt road??
Written 28 December 2017
I don't recall a specific sign for Bunda Cliffs just signs indicating the lookouts by number. Eg. I think Bunda Cliff was no. 4. But all the lookouts are beautiful and similar in view. The dirt roads are only a few hundred metres long.
