Take the longer path through route 53. The river is beautiful so it is driving through the country side. If you have time choose a winery to visit.

One of the most picturesque places I gave ever visited. It was stunning. Accommodation, food, wine!!! All excellent. We took the boat trip to Bernkastel and sat in the square watching the world go by. I cannot wait to return to this region

Driving through the Mosel Valley was very fun. The small German towns are gorgeous and the banks of the Mosel River are covered with vineyards even in the steep areas. We drove between Bernkastel-Kues and Cochem and saw the prettiest part of the valley.

Absolutely a lovely charming town with tons of wineries located on the Mosel! If in the area, definitely stop in and look at the amazing archetecture and walk the quaint streets.

This is the perfect place for wine lovers, with many wineries where you can taste several wines. The nature is also beautiful and there are many small and nice little villages. Recommend this place

The Mosel Valley truly is a wonderful holiday destination for wine enthusiasts and hikers/bikers/nature lovers. All along the steeply sloped banks of the Mosel you see vineyards. The locals are not super friendly but perhaps tourism is a bit of a curse as well as...More

The mosel river offers stunning scenery, via river boat cruise from Enkirch to Bernkastel. An absolute 'must do'. Friendly on board staff serving fine wines, beer and food. The cruise took three hours all for 18 €.

Yes. You just have to give them a call as the better wineries only see customers by appointment. It is also customary to buy a couple of bottles at each stop as a thank you.
