It´s a beautiful lake!

We rented a bicicle, and rode arround the lake during the day. It´s a beautiful area, with bits of forest and other well preserved bits.

We sat on the edge of the lake for hours with beautiful lawns and loads of little cafes and ice cream parlours.

My husband and I stumbled upon the Tegernsee town and lake after we met a couple who owned a shoe shop there. we were pleasantly surprised on our arrival. we actually came back and spent a few nights here away from the hustle and bustle of downtown munich. I would highly recommend renting a motorized boat for a few hours... More

During your trip to south Bavaria you should not miss to visit the Tegernsee. The lake is well protected by the mountains. Do not miss to klimb a bit and enjoy the beautiful view.

We went to Bad Weissee on the banks of Lake Tegernsee to meet friends to go hiking in the hills. A simply beautiful place - stunning views, clean and litter free with friendly people.

Typical Bavarian scenery (not always visible!). Ferries from place to place, possible to walk round it, although some sections are on the road. Cake shops on the way.

Unlike other lakes in Bavaria, Lake Tegernsee is just the right size to explore. Day time and night time, both sides of the lake can easily been seen.

The views during the summer are quite Bavarian with pine covered mountains and typical Bavarian cottage architecture plus onion roofed church towers.During winter there are lots of skiing tracks and facilities.Several times I went in and out of Austria while driving the latest 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo.

This lake area is absolutely gorgeous and is great for eating by the lake, going to Montemarte spa, or going for a hike. There are plenty of hiking trails for all levels with breathtaking views at the top and 'alms' which are basically a kind of cafe/beergarden where you can get food and drinks. The lake is wonderful for taking... More

This is a charming small lake surrounded by villages with typical chalet buildings decked out with flowing flowers from the balconies. There are a series of boats that are available to take a relaxing 90 minute tour of the full lake (with opportunity to hop off once or twice depending on route and fare) or to simply ferry one from...
