Visited here in the afternoon. There's lots of wildlife and some more spectacular views on offer. There are some good walking trails that are quite flat.

Gorgeous views of snow capped mountains across lake. Wonderful for a walk on lakeside. Neuschwanstein, in view on the far side

The little lake was the perfect place to have a break (during a road trip) and offers not only a charming face but a boat trip as well.

There is a lovely 2-hour ferry ride round the lake stopping at various points. The boat is very comfortable, spotless, and has a great little cafe on the lower deck. No bad place to sit, and there's also outside seating.

If you have the time and the inclination I recommend a good walk along this lake or even better rent a bike and ride all the way round. The terrain is mostly flat, so no hardship there. Of course you must have the weather on...More

A great charming lake, you will certainly enjoy by nice sunny and warm weather. Take the round trip on the boat and have a fine alround view to the hills/mountains and Neuschwanstein Castle. Do not miss this fine excursion. Highly recommended. Like wise you can...More
