…is this picturesque and famous pilgrimage church and the tiny hamlet below the Watzmann mountain. It has its origin in the 12th century. In the meantime, her name is closely linked with the Königssee, as she is located very scenically on the peninsula named Hirschau...More

Imagine the combination of a mountain-ringed lake and a gleaming white church with two onion domes emerging in the distance. Not only is the sight unforgettable, the outdoor restaurant under the trees is the real goal of the Konigsee boat trip. Featuring fresh fish from...More

When you go to Konigssee, you have to take a tourist boat to see the lake. Once you see St Bartholomew's Church, it is realy an amazing view. Especially the nature around is breathtakingly beautiful!

The boat ride is really peaceful. The guide would talk partly in English and mostly in German. There is an app you can download for English commentary. The echo point on the way is superb too. Someone from the boat will play a trumpet and...More

Very nice boat ride and visit to a scenic Church. Took one of trails and walked around. Did not stay to eat at the restaurant/biergarten which looked great.

You can see why people have made pilgrimages to this beautiful place. You can take the boat ride over to it and admire the scenery from the other side of the lake. The views are just as stunning and a lovely place to reflect away...More

Take the boat on Konigsee (about €15 round trip) and find this wonderful little church on a small plain on the shore of the lake surrounded by rock wall hundreds of metres high. Take a look around and catch a later to explore the rest...More

you access this church from a lovely 35 minutes boat ride along the lake and it is well worth the journey. The commentary is in German though, so if that isn't your strong suit, get a guidebook

A small pilgrimage church next to a huge biergarten with wonderful views of the mountains and a beautiful lake - what more could you ask for? While getting there is a bit tedious (park the car, 10-minute walk through kitsch shops, crowded wait for the...More

Get down at the last stop - Salet. You can go walking to Obersee. Hike. And then get back to the pier. Make sure you start early. The ticket counter is crowded and the last boat leaves sometime between 16:00-18:00
