Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Surrendered by the charming desert, Montagne of sand , colorful and shining, beautiful and amazing shapes of ancien volcanique montagnes and peaceful silence you are there just to admire and rest for from the busy stressful life... That make you want to escape back there again and again when you return home,... I'll definitly go back again and again..I'm not talking about that just attraction but all the package.

commonly visited en route to or from DJG airport, this is the famous crying cows engraving, on an inselberg.

according to the legend dating back to 7000-8000 BC, the cows are in despair and have visible tears from their eyes as they couldnt find water to quench their thirst.

unfortunately, since this site is easily accessible, there are also some graffiti and nonsense drawings at the location

It was great to hear the history and enjoy nice views.
It would be great to visit when it is a raining season as the background of that place should be much different.

I went with the excellent Tinariwen Tours, after a week's 4x4 tour round the Tadrart Rouge. this seems to be one of the most ancient pieces of prehistoric rock art in the Sahara, and one of the rare ones surviving from the 'wet season' (as it was then) when people dispersed over the lowlands. Most rock art is from higher altitude 'dry season' shelters.

The detail is superb. The most impressive rock art I visited in the djanet area, hopefully it will last forever.
