We had a fantastic experience and learned a great deal about the maple syrup making process during our visit to Erabliere Boily. This was our favorite tour during our time in Quebec and our favorite experience on Ile d'Orleans. The owner provided a great tour...More

We visited Ile D'Orleans from Quebec City principally to visit Erabliere Boily as we enjoy maple syrup and wanted to understand more about its production. As per other reviews, the location is not well sign posted but easy enough to find (near the trout farm)...More

We felt like we came in the back way but we knocked on the door and the world of maple syrup truly opened up to us. We had no idea it should be served cold or that it was great on fruit.... The work involved,...More

Lovely experience. The adorable owners offer a free guided visit (in french or english) and talk about maple production today and in the past. In the end, you can buy artisanal maple products (butter, syrup, sugar, candy, etc), with great quality and fair price.

It was very difficult to know where to park. The owner came out and told us we could park in between trees, which was super easy to do once we knew we could park there. We entered the building in the middle of a tour...More

We stopped here as our last stop around the Ile d'Orleans, and I am so glad we did. The signage isn't great, but the entrance is right next to a trout pond, also owned by the same people. We knocked on the owner's home, located...More

We found this easily after asking for directions at Les fromages de l'Ile d'Orleans - it's just 100m north from there along Chemin Royale and right next to the trout farm as others have said. The trout farm owner also runs the maple syrup farm...More

It is near the trout pond. We parked with all of the fishing people and just asked the staff servicing the trout pond. We met with Mr Boily and learned of him growing up on the island and how his father and grandfather retrieved the...More

I am sure this place would have been great but we could not find it. A local told us that it was near the Trout pond..but we still could not find it. Disappointing that the owner does not put up better signage.

situated on the north end of the island the best way to know where this place is, it is a sugar shack tucked off the road about 30 metres (100 Feet) off the road near right beside the trout pond. As others have said the...More

No reservations required - we just turned up and knocked on the door of the owner's house. She started the tour within 5 minutes. They operate the tours on an 'as required' basis and they are very much flexible according... More
