Very, very interesting. The Roederstollen tour is especially good. Special thanks to the lovely lady who took us on the above tour in English as we were the only two taking the tour. You made our visit extra interesting!

Due to our poor organisiation skills we had to take a tour in German. It was still fascinating to see such a historic site and see the tunnels where people mined for so many years. So hard to comprehend the scale of the tunnels all...More

This is a must if you are in Goslar or nearby. It is a great adventure to travel into the now abandoned mine and experience how it has been working there. Just the idea that it has been mined for over 1000 years is hard...More

I'm sure it would be very interesting if i had understood anything. They could have said this in advance. But people seemed very pleased so if you understand German I'm sure it's a great experience.

We visited with kids 3 and 6 yrs old. Went on a 1,5 hr walking tour to the water wheel. I would have loved to spend more time in the museum as it is a really cool place. Nicely set up and modern. Friendly staff.

We took a walking tour of the World Heritage Rammelsberg mine. It was an excellent tour. Unfortunately we were on a tight schedule, otherwise we would have visited the "mine-car" riding tour, and the museums. But I really liked the walking tour. The tour guide...More

We took the "railway" tour, and there was very little walking involved. No hiking at all. (We were there with very young kids.) You board a train like the one the miners were using (have to bend a bit to get in the wagon), 5... More

Hi. it takes at least a half day. One whole day could be spent there with all three guided tours. And there is a good restaurant for lunch.

Yes, the mine and the museum are in exactly the same place - well, maybe twenty feet apart!
