This hidden gem is quite the change form all of the surrounding buildings and cobblestones. Even though it's, not a huge garden, it is a very pretty and peaceful place. It also offers a lovely view of Bamberg.

Visit in summer to get the best of the roses. Gardeners with green thumbs look after them and the remarkable rows of trees with great care. Get a beautiful view over a part of the old town from the wall.

We took a tour which included the Neuen Residence. This is a very well maintained garden with hundreds of beautiful roses.

Garden forms part of the The New Residenz and contains thousands of roses. Not at their best at the time of our visit but worth a wander round. Garden also provides an opportunity to soak up the views over the town.

Not only can you immerse yourself in the amazing spectrum of colours, you can also enjoy the floral scents too. Take time to sit on one of the shaded benches and see if you can spot a cute statue.

The tour was amazing and although I was there in the middle of May the roses were not yet in bloom. You could see and imagine how beautiful they would be in bloom. Everything was so perfectly maintained and pruned.

The rose garden was in full bloom and the scent alone was fantastic! There are so many different types of roses and they are in small beds by color. Definitely worth a stop to visit
