Great views of Novi-Sad. A great old fortress located on a hill close to Donau. Many restaurants around and Club Museum. Preparations for the Exit-festival was being made.

Petrovaradin Fortress was originally a Roman fort which was a part of the fortified borders (Limes) along the Danube. Later it was reconstructed to a real fortress and played an important part in the defence against the Ottoman forces 1500-1700.

What an interesting and huge building! We drove to the bottom of the fortress and then we walked on the top where we had amazing view on the city. Worth the walk.

Must see when visiting Serbia. Gorgeous Old Fortress on Danube River. Traces of history and Heritage are so amazing. Food and service in restaurant are awesome too.

Impressive citadel on Danube river's eastern bank designed in the star-shaped (Vauban) style. It would have been nice to be able to tour the underground tunnels but we did not have the time.

There are no entry fees. You could drive in by car and use public parking without paying (I were there on April 2015, parking was free) or you could go by bus or by foot cross the bridge and upstairs to the clock tower :)
