Like the Tardis, this museum is much bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside. It is absolutely crammed with artefacts from a bygone era and requires much more time than we had allowed for it. We were fortunate to encounter the museum...More

A credit to the tireless volunteers who have turned a labour of love into a brilliant record of local history and the people whose families are remembered in the exhibits. For those of us who recognise artefacts from our childhood; its a trip down memory...More

The passion shown by volunteer staff shows through this recreated local village. We were surprised to find so many fragile and irreplaceable heirlooms, ceramics etc on display. Clearly visitors respect the effort in getting all the exhibits collected and arranged. There was a lot of...More

Quite deceptive - from the front, quite small but once you wander through you appreciate the scale. So much history to enjoy, it is both a sense of history and a touch of nostalgia of a bygone age. Although most of the buildings and exhibits...More

Thanks for your review Mike. So pleased you decided to come in and look around. We are much bigger than we look from the road. You picked the best day with the demo's on a Sunday.

This local museum is to be applauded for the variety of day-to-day items assembled from the homes of settlers to the region. Older visitors will remember most of these items in their Grandparents homes or on their properties. Hand butter churns and common cooking utensils...More
