Hubby and I visited this place during the wet Easter weekend with no knowledge of its offerings and honestly weren't expecting much. Well, we were surprised and very happy to have visited. The volunteers were genuinely friendly and helpful. The village is well taken care for and presented many delights, especially (in my opinion), the school, old cottage, convenience store and church. We watched a few demonstrations which were very informative. We would love to visit again during a sunny day as the gardens are also lovely. …

My husband and I visited last week and were amazed at the quality and quantity of the displays. The custodians have done a wonderful job of preserving the past and sharing it with others. We often visit museums in our travels, and thoroughly recommend this one as being well presented and lovingly looked after.…

Don’t be fooled by the front, this place is bigger than it looks. We took our kids and they had a ball. It was raining and the gentleman at the front gave us a couple of umbrellas to use. If you are taking kids expect a little surprise at the front door, but you will have to go to find out.…

This is a fabulous place to visit, it is absolutely full of wonderful and not so wonderful reminders of bygone times in Australia. It is all very authentic and well maintained thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers.
