Lots of different buildings, including school room, ladies clothing, military. Navy items including different knots, kitchen items, Meheno the boat that sits on Fraser Island information.

Good spot to fill on a couple of hours. The demonstrations were great, especially the corn one. We were there the same time as a large amount of Cubs. The place coped well with so many in the area. All the people involved are volunteers,...More

We have visited a number of historical villages around Australia and this was one of the best. Fantastic collections that were well organised. Clearly a dedicated crew of volunteers running it. Though as a 40yo, I didn’t appreciated seeing books I read in primary school...More

It may not look much from the outside but inside there is a lot of history.It was very interesting,to see how people lived and survived without what we take for granted.

Fascinating look back into history of Hervey Bay. Buildings have been reconstructed so you can visualise exactly what life was like. Displays of dresses worn by actual town inhabitants at their weddings etc. old cameras, history of how technology has evolved with old radiograms on...More

Can thoroughly recommend a visit to this museum- young or old. Something for everyone. Demonstrations are full of interest and all the volunteers are to be congratulated on the work they do. Excellent afternoon

Dogs must be tied up at the Reception area. Unfortunately, due to past experiences, we cannot allow dogs into the Village.

We now have EFTPOS. The Historical Village is open Fridays 1pm - 4 30pm Saturday 1pm till 4.40pm & Sunday 10.30 till 4.30pm. All Q'land school & public holidays, closed xmas day & Good Friday,
