Silver Star cannot compete with the larger Resorts like Whistler and Sun Peals for ski acreage. However, it does manage to pack a good variety of ski runs within its terrain. It has gladed runs for both intermediates and advanced skiers and some of the most challenging runs for expert skiers. There are also longer and gentler slopes for the... More

This ski hill has great runs for children and for families. It has all levels of difficulty. We travelled from Winnipeg to Kelowna and the airport is small and easy to navigate. Once you've arrived you can take a bus or rent a car to the hill. It is about an hour away. Easy drive. We rented a chalet, ski... More

Our family comes here every Christmas. The snow is always exceptional and there are lots of activities for kids of all ages to enjoy. Fireworks every Friday are spectacular over the snow-laden slopes. The Champagne Powder of the Okanagan is the best snow anywhere - much better than Whistler.

I have been to many different ski hills in Canada but SilverStar is by far my favourite. It's quite with many different runs to choose from and the staff are always friendly. I highly recommend traveling to this hill and spending a few days there.

Long story short, the staff were rude and condescending. The resorts power was out all day on the one day we were able to use the ski hills. Understandibly, this was not their fault but their response to the issue was very poor. The managers said they were offering us a deal because we could only use the hills from... More

Disclaimer: I'm biased. I live 20 minutes from the ski resort. Notwithstanding, this ski resort is a gem in the Okanagan Valley. Its runs are so varied from the front side to the backside, many green and blue groomed runs and several blacks and double blacks runs. All ski levels are accommodated here. The resort is an excellent place for... More

Silver Star offers extensive, groomed x country trails and a good mix of blue and black runs for alpine. Their hosting program is excellent and we enjoyed skiing with a host each morning.

Family friendly ski area with a quaint little village.. lots of activities from skiing, boarding, Xcountry skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, snowshoeing, ice skating & fat biking... Nordic skiing is world class and downhill skiing has excellent beginner and intermediate runs with the back side "Putnam Creek" having lots of challenge for advanced skiers. Highly recommended for all levels of skiers but... More

We spent a long weekend skiing at Silver Star. It was our first time there. We had two days of great skiing. There had not been new snow for about a week, but the grooming was excellent. There is a wide variety of runs that accommodated different ability levels in our group; but also plenty of steep runs and tree... More
