Beautiful designed old building. Strange with such a large building, so fancy, so spacious, for a Postal and Customs House "in the middle of knowwhere"... but a political statement from the time egen Åland and Finland where under russian and the Tsar's occupation. There was...More

We stopped by here after getting off the ferry. The building itself is pretty impressive, but that is about it. There is a board with some cool historical information about the place and we toured inside, but nothing amazing. The cafe was also closed. We...More

Museum had been closed for this summer (in mid August) so there was not much to see. This summer's handicraft exhibition was still open (free entry), but it wasn't related to Eckerö history. However, it's a nice milieu and Tsarevna cafe was great!

My review is about the post- och tullmuseun, not for the historic house or the cafė which is Independent. The museum is disappointing taking into account how rich and important this part of Åland's history is. Only ONE small room for the whole exhibition (side...More

We visited this building for a craft exhibition and it is a lovely building to walk around. The rooms are beautiful, there is a cafe in the grounds and a nice chocolate shop. But we were directed to a toilet under the stairs which seemed...More

Next to the museum there is a great cafe to have brunch. The service is fantastic and the buffet they offer excellent. A little on the expensive side but well worth the expense to enjoy a delicious brunch. Just wonder why this cafe doesn't show...More

Interesting stop- a renovated old post office with a cafe, gift shop, and a very nice chocolate store. Essentially a nice stop while waiting for the bus.

This was my first site I saw in Åland, when I left the ferry. It is a wonderful building, and now serves as a restaurant/chocolaterie. Take some time to walk around in the area, as the coast there is quite nice.

Just a building from Saint-Petersburg in Eckerö coast. That's strange, but this is history, some times ago it was a necessary building for sure. Enterence fee is not worth the exhibition of one room, but we also got to see some local designers exhibitions too....More
