Crete of course is an island. There is a large square/mall surrounded by cafes where you can catch buses and mix with the locals. Food is cheap and generally good and plenty of drinks. It is not a place for teenagers. Many of the museums are close by and the buses are easy to access to beautiful beaches. Locals are... More
