We visited the Citadelle while we were in Sisteron and the walk to the top is worth the effort. The view from the top is quiet remarkable and the Fortress is very interesting to explore.

The citadel dominates the town and can be seen from far away. Entrance is only 6.50 euros and it takes 90 minutes on average to see everything.There is a route marked out so that you don't miss anything and there is information en route. Views...More

The citadel is well worth a detour. Be sure to wear comfy sensible shoes because the cobblestones & old narrow stairways need your full attention. Be sure to allow yourself enough time to wander the entire site & enjoy the views from every vantage point....More

I have stopped and spent the night at this friendly Hotel on two occasions this May 2018. Their food is outstanding as is their friendly service. Outstanding value for money in a beautiful setting with amazing views. Highly recommend
