A beautiful place, well worth spending a few hours exploring. The boat trip was excellent, particularly as it was splendid weather, and the guide was informative. It is also worth walking along the Somme to one side, and among the gardens on foot.

A short walk from the centre of Amiens, we decided to take a boat trip around the Les Hortillonages, a trip we all enjoyed. As we were to find out, the area is reclaimed marsh land beside the Rive Somme, a cris-cross of channels to...More

We cycled along the towpath of the Somme, East from the centre of Amiens. This area is a maze of tiny canals withflower gardens an vegetable gardens in between, and houses accessed by little bridges over the ditches. Panels on the route give some history...More

We had this as one of our 'to do's' while in Amiens, we had to find the place first, no large signs up. If you look at the quay to your right there's a bridge go over there and cross the road, the entrance is...More

Excellent trip on a small electric boat which seated just 12 people, which glided peacefully around the waterways. Very informative and interesting trip, which lasts about 45mins. Good value. I am disabled and was able to park my scooter next to the boat, and was...More

We arrived here about 4 on a very hot weekday after a 10-12 minute walk downhill from the station. We joined a substantial queue and quickly realised, given the lack of movement of the queue and the couple of hundred people already waiting by the...More

We had stopped in Amiens many times without ever finding this fascinating area and it feels like the depths of the countryside - yet it's incredibly close to the very centre of town. Delightful paths beside the Somme and neighbouring small canals, dotted with mainly...More

I did not see any other dogs on the day that my wife and I went on the trip. To be honest I would be surprised if pets were allowed however well behaved. If you can get your question translated into French then you could... More
