A few minutes walk from our hotel, we wanted to buy farm fresh veg & such for soups we'll make next week... we didn't actually go into the church, just shopped around the market which was nice... last night we took the pic of the beautiful lights at St. Nicholas...

We decided to visit a bit of the new city of Boulogne-sur-mer. We found St Nicholas Church and it was open. We enjoyed visiting it. However, it was way smaller compared to Notre Dame de Boulogne. The church is at the square where restaurants catered to tourists. It is about three blocks away from the old city. It was hit... More

Excellent stop off in old part of Boulogne. Very impressive church in square inside walled village. Top tip: come at night to see it lit up. Very impressive.

The church is an interesting place to see. It is old and historic. A nice little place to see if combined with other things such as the sea.

Well worth a visit to this beautiful old church, very relaxing to sit down and reflect after a busy day in Boulogne. Also of note is the 18th Century organ standing on the West end gallery of the church, I have heard this played on a Sunday service, and it makes a superb sound, and for its size quite powerful!... Well worth a visit to this impressive looking church in the main square. Inside was very relaxing and peaceful, and welcome to take a few minutes out for some reflection.

When returning to the harbour district, call in to this very handsome church, to admire the architecture and to get a moment's peace. Equally interesting as the better known Eglise de Notre Dame.

This is a very restfull haven in the centre of a busy town and allows a quiet oasis of peace equally it is exceptionally historical and bears its scars from WW2 well
