We weren't planning on driving over the bridge but we sure are glad we did. Amazing views and neet lookouts for photo opportunities. 10/10 would cross this bridge again.

Tallest bridge in the World. Highest bridge deck in the world. Completed in 2004 at cost of 400 million euros. Opening ceremonies presided over by then French President Chirac. Best views from below found at village of Peyre.

I liked everything about it. It is a beautiful feat of engineering which does not interfere or damage the majestic scenery and landscape. It is most definitely worth a visit.

Barcelona to Millau by car (or minivan) is a 4 hour trip one way. Unless your group is totally into great engineering feats only I wonder if you would not like to extend your trip to include the (reconstructed) middle age... More

What public transportation uses the Millau Bridge as part of its route? Whether it's a bus or train, (from what town), I would live to be on it.

No idea. Maybe long distance buses. Not trains. I was actually disappointed when we later drove over it as you can't see anything from car

We will be driving back from Spain to Calais in mid January. Should be avoid the Millau Bridge & Clermont-Ferrand route - is this likely to be closed please. Many thanks

Actually the bridge rarely closed. But you might get snow in Clermont Ferrant. So I would check the forecast and I would avoid nighttime because of the frost. Every winter you have 1 or 2 days of bad weather who forced the... More
