Try it when you are on Bornholm

Very nice museum where you can see a goblet fossil a.o. If you are on Bornholm with children then you should go to Nature Bornholm . It is not like other museums.

Nature Bornholm is an ambitious extempt to explain the national history of Bornholm. It does succeed in glimpses, but it is difficult to understand the overall narrative. Some of the attractions are strange. The entrance cave is frigjtening for small children. So is the filmatic timetravel with earthquake chairs. All is nicely displayed and the building itself it designed by... More

We were excited to find out more about dinosaurs and traces from the past at Bornholm. The visiting centre is far too commercial though and lack the charm of diving into history. The film about Bornholm followed by a trail through pictures, texts and a few objects is slightly highlighted by some living crocodiles and various insects and reptiles on... More

This is more of a childrens activity place. But it was interesting. Big price for a small amount of things to do in my opinion thou. Recommended for families with kids between 5-15 years old.

It's quite a small place but having that said, it's still worth the visit. The exhibitions are very good and interesting, there are staff at the exhibitions so you can ask questions and the staff is very interested and helpful. Our kids, age 4 & 6 really liked the place. We went for the dinosaurs, also small exhibition as well... More

Thank you for the good remarks. It is small (3000 m2 inside), but large for Bornholm. And we are building a new dinosaur exhibition outside, so you must come back for more. It will open in the beginning of June 2016. And you are right it is a small café, therefor it is allowed to eat and drink food you... More

We were in Natur Bornholm on a very rainy day and spend 3 hours at the place. We were highly entertained and educated in the different areas inside the building. The ticket was part of a multiticket we bought for 5-6 sights. Hence the price seemed fair.

This is a cool place to go and have a look back in time...way back. Great exhibition of how the earth has changed through time and there's a short animation taking you through the ages. Cool if you are genuinely interested! You have to understand that this is not a place catering to the masses nor is it in a... More

Generally an OK interesting place, but the whole thing ruined by the cafe, where we after placing our order waited for 1 hour for two toast and a sandwich. It was a rainy day and there were clearly more visitors than normally, however in july they should be prepared for this. Furthermore there were no tables to sit down and... More

Bornholm is distinct and different from Denmark in a number of ways. One of these is the underground/geology. Visiting the relative new NaturBornholm (architect is Henning Larsen!) allows you to get a good understanding of this including a time walk many hundred million years back in history. Walks outside the museum allows you to learn more about the geology as... More
