The person who manned the information desk at CDG Terminal 2E took the time to go over every aspect of our arrival with accurate information about Metro and Paris Museum passes, location of the car rental desk and finding our way to the proper exit to meet our shuttle bus.

I arrived at the CDG airport today, I had purchased a transfer from the airport to my hotel from aviator.
My confirmation had a phone number, but when I called I couldn’t understand what they were saying.
I went to the Tourist Information desk and asked for help. Luckily, a wonderful gentleman, Fabian, helped me. He called the number, talked with them and told me to wait in a certain spot, they said the driver would come in and he wanted to be able to find me.
No one came, but he called them eight times, checked on me about six times and recommended that I take a cab.
Later, it appears that the company canceled my ride, while I was waiting and refunded my payment.
I don’t know what I would have done without his help.
What a wonderful young man and what wonderful service. Thank you.

Convenient Source of Information, Tickets and Passes

Our party was well-served by this tourist information area (known easily by the bright orange decor for the service desk). Coming out from baggage claim in area 2E, it is a convenient place especially for those arriving from international overnight flights. It opens promptly at 7:15 a.m. At it we were able in one stop to get RER train tickets to travel into Paris, Metro tickets (buy them in sets of 10 for significant savings), Museum Passes and tickets for such sites as the Eiffel Tower and boat trips on the Seine. Service was prompt and helpful, and brochures and maps were plentiful and free.

Excellent tourist center

I can only say best things about this tourist info desk. People working here are so kind, so professional and so dedicated to their work, that I haven't seen such in any similar place worldwide.
Not only they give you free maps, discount vouchers and tips, but they try to find the best transport solution for you based on how many are there in your party and where you're going.

We stopped here in order to get an update into the Gilets Jaunes demonstrations the weekend we were travelling and the tickets we could buy from them. In the end we decided to buy our Batobus on Seine tour here (having purchased our Louvre tickets online the day before) which acts as a hop on hop off Seine boat between Notre Dame and Eiffel Tower, as we researched this website and their own website for details.

The 2 young girls were very friendly and even allowed us to take a picture of the lines closed on that Saturday due to the demonstrators.

More people stopped to get tickets and info, so I guess this is a system highly used and appreciated.

Generally pretty good...but some issues...

CDG is a massive airport with multiple separate terminals. It handles almost 70 million passengers per year. They do a great job with moving people within the airport. However the taxi situation is some of the worst I have ever seen. You follow the signs, and it takes you to "transportation", then you have "helpful" people sending you to different exit doors to find a taxi to the city. Once you get to the specified door, there is someone there yelling at you, and now has a different door to get a taxi (this happened to us several times over). Finally, I just went and got an actual airport worker and asked for help....and he helped get us past the jackasses that were giving us "directions". Watch for this if you need to take a taxi to the city...the whole situation is maddingly frustrating.
