it's a lovely walk through the gardens next to the historical ramparts ,some date back to 300AD from Roman times. If you ask for a map from TI it contains some walks and points out the places of interest. Worth visiting

The old town in Vannes is well worth a visit, the ramparts and gardens are very impressive and the medieval part of the town is awesome! It’s all really clean and very few ‘tacky’ touristy shops!

Beautiful, well worth walking through and pretty much a ‘must do’ as probably central to everything Vannes!

I took the whole family, and everyone enjoyed the Ramparts and the gardens. Beautiful to walk around, lovely floral work, and in good weather this is a fabulous place to spend time.

Tbe Ramparts are quite a nice feature in Vannes. The view of the gardens is particularly nice. I wish that the tower and more of the ramparts were open to the public. The do appear to be working on them, so maybe in future?

Nice gardens and walk around the cherry blossom lined park. Great place for the kids to run around. There is a small park at one end. There's a little river that runs through too.

Every medieval town must have a decent defense fortification and the Remparts of Vannes does not disappoint. Perhaps I am a bit jaded after seeing so many castles, fortresses, chateaus, and ramparts throughout Europe and the rest of the world, but, one has to imagine...More

It's very nice to look at and take a couple of pictures but there's not a lot of it . There is a larger garden on the other side of the road.
